How to print a passport photo sheet at the correct size
A 4 × 6 inch photo sheet measures 101.6 × 152.4 mm, often sold as “10 × 15 cm” paper. This small difference matters when sizing passport photos precisely.
1. Choose the correct individual photo size
Do not assume all countries use the same passport photo size. The U.S. printed format is 2 × 2 inches; Jordan’s electronic-passport announcement specifies 35 × 45 mm. Application-specific rules may differ, so follow the issuing authority’s current instructions.
2. Arrange photos without scaling
Our Passport Photo Maker places repeat copies of the same crop on a 4 × 6 inch sheet. The standard studio preset uses four U.S. 2 × 2 inch photos or six 35 × 45 mm photos. Some other layouts use more or fewer photographs. When there is no gap, adjacent photographs share an edge.
3. Download and check
Download the PNG sheet. It includes output-density metadata, but software may ignore that metadata. Confirm your print dialog is set to 4 × 6 inch paper, 100% or Actual size, and disable Fit to page, automatic enlargement, and unwanted borderless cropping.
4. Print, measure, then cut
Before printing a batch, print one sheet and measure a photo with a ruler. For a 35 × 45 mm preset, the printed rectangle should be exactly 35 mm wide and 45 mm tall. Carefully cut along the individual photo edges or the guides in blank margins.
Important note for official applications
Correct paper size does not guarantee a valid passport photo. Head position, background, image age, face expression, color, photographer requirements, and submission method vary by country. This tool does not perform biometric validation or authenticate submitted photographs.
